This workshop is designed to empower parents of autistic children with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively navigate the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process.

Who should attend: Parents, guardians, and caregivers of autistic children who are currently in or preparing for special education services. This workshop is also beneficial for those seeking a better understanding of their rights and responsibilities within the IEP framework.

What you'll gain: Participants will learn how to prepare for IEP meetings, understand their child's educational rights, effectively communicate their child's needs, and collaborate with school staff to develop a meaningful and impactful IEP. We'll cover key components of the IEP, strategies for advocating for your child, and tips for building positive relationships with the IEP team.

Format: This is an interactive workshop with presentations, group discussions, and Q&A sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, ask questions, and learn from each other.

Special Notes: This workshop is free of charge and will be held online via Zoom. A recording will be available for those who cannot attend live. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
