Join us for an interactive workshop designed to help parents, caregivers, educators, and autistic individuals better understand and navigate sensory sensitivities.

This workshop will cover common sensory sensitivities experienced by autistic individuals, including sensitivities to sound, light, touch, taste, and smell. We'll explore the neurological basis of these sensitivities and discuss how they can impact daily life.

    **Who should attend:**
    * Parents and caregivers of autistic children and adults
    * Autistic individuals seeking to better understand their own sensory experiences
    * Educators and therapists working with autistic individuals
    * Anyone interested in learning more about sensory processing and autism

    **What you'll learn:**
    * Identify common sensory sensitivities in autistic individuals.
    * Understand the impact of sensory sensitivities on behavior and well-being.
    * Learn practical strategies for creating sensory-friendly environments.
    * Discover coping mechanisms for managing sensory overload.
    * Gain insights into advocating for sensory accommodations.

**Format:** This is a 90-minute online workshop featuring a presentation, interactive exercises, and a Q&A session with our experienced facilitator, a neurodiversity affirming occupational therapist.

**Special Note:** This workshop is designed to be sensory-friendly. We will provide advance notice of any potentially triggering sounds or visuals. Closed captions will be available. A recording will be sent to all registrants.
