  • Opis

Join us for an informative and supportive workshop designed to help parents understand and navigate sensory sensitivities in autistic children.

    This workshop will cover:
    - Understanding the different types of sensory sensitivities (e.g., auditory, visual, tactile, olfactory, gustatory, proprioceptive, vestibular).
    - Identifying common signs and triggers of sensory overload in children.
    - Practical strategies and techniques to create a sensory-friendly environment at home and in the community.
    - Developing coping mechanisms and self-regulation skills for children experiencing sensory challenges.

    Who should attend:
This workshop is ideal for parents, caregivers, and family members of autistic children who experience sensory sensitivities. Educators and therapists seeking a better understanding of sensory processing are also welcome.

    What you will learn:
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of sensory processing and its impact on autistic individuals. You'll leave with practical tools and strategies to support your child's sensory needs and create a more comfortable and inclusive environment.

Format: This is an interactive workshop with presentations, group discussions, and Q&A sessions. We encourage participants to share their experiences and learn from one another.

Special Notes: This is a free, family-friendly event. While the workshop is geared towards adults, children are welcome to attend with a caregiver. We will provide quiet activities for children who need a break. The workshop will be presented in a sensory-friendly manner, with reduced lighting and minimal background noise.
