    This workshop is designed to empower parents of autistic children with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively navigate the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process.

    Who should attend: Parents, guardians, and caregivers of autistic children of all ages who are currently in or preparing to enter the special education system.

    What you'll learn:
    - Understanding the IEP process from start to finish.
    - Your rights and responsibilities as a parent.
    - How to prepare for IEP meetings.
    - Strategies for effective communication and collaboration with the IEP team.
    - How to advocate for your child's needs and goals.
    - Tips for reviewing and understanding the IEP document.

    Format: This is an interactive workshop with presentations, group discussions, and Q&A sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from each other.

    Special notes: This workshop is free and will be held online via Zoom. A recording will be available for registered participants for one week following the event.
