A recent study in *Frontiers in Pediatrics* found that while both improved cognitive, language, and social skills, ESDM showed stronger long-term gains in social reciprocity. Another study showed that children who received ESDM maintained gains in intellectual ability and adaptive behavior even two years after the intervention ended.
