ЁЯМЯ World Autism Month 2026 тАФ Early detection research from Stanford Medicine is shifting how we identify autism in infants. Behavioral markers, physiological measures, and naturalistic interventions are giving families answers earlier than ever. Earlier support = better outcomes. This month, let us commit to understanding, acceptance, and action. #worldautismmonth #autismawareness #neurodiversity #earlyintervention https://med.stanford.edu/autis....mcenter/annual-autis

I wanted to add that Stanford Medicine is using attention, motor behavior, and autonomic regulation to identify biomarkers in high-risk infants even before typical behavioral symptoms emerge. Parent-mediated Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBIs) are also being adapted for very young infants, focusing on integrating parent self-regulation into home-based models.
For families with children aged 2-5, Stanford is also running trials using Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) to improve social communication. You can find more info on these studies here: https://med.stanford.edu/autism/studies.html.
