🌟 World Autism Month 2026 — Early detection research from Stanford Medicine is shifting how we identify autism in infants. Behavioral markers, physiological measures, and naturalistic interventions are giving families answers earlier than ever. Earlier support = better outcomes. This month, let us commit to understanding, acceptance, and action. #worldautismmonth #autismawareness #neurodiversity #earlyintervention https://med.stanford.edu/autis....mcenter/annual-autis

I wanted to add that Stanford Medicine is using attention, motor behavior, and autonomic regulation to identify biomarkers in high-risk infants even before typical behavioral symptoms emerge. Parent-mediated Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBIs) are also being adapted for very young infants, focusing on integrating parent self-regulation into home-based models.
For families with children aged 2-5, Stanford is also running trials using Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) to improve social communication. You can find more info on these studies here: https://med.stanford.edu/autism/studies.html.
